Welcome to your cosy Yorkshire retreat in Holywell Green, Halifax. Bell Heather House is a charming 3-bedroom home blends period character with modern comfort, making it the perfect base for families, friends, or groups. Inside, you’ll find a warm and inviting lounge with elegant décor, plush seating, and a smart TV, ideal for unwinding after a day of exploring. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, modern appliances, and dining table, perfect for shared meals. For added fun, the games room offers a pool table and extra TV, giving guests space to relax and play. Upstairs, there are three comfortable bedrooms: a light and stylish double, a twin with calming tones, and a spacious attic room with exposed beams and wooden floors. Fresh linens and towels are provided for your stay, along with a family bathroom featuring a bath and overhead shower. Outside, enjoy a private garden with outdoor seating and a BBQ – great for al fresco dining in the warmer months. Please note: due to steep staircases leading up to the bedrooms, down to the cellar, and outside the property entrance, this home is not suitable for those with mobility issues. Located in the peaceful village of Holywell Green, you’re close to both Halifax and Huddersfield, with easy access to the stunning Yorkshire countryside, local pubs, shops, and family attractions. Whether you’re here for walking, sightseeing, or simply relaxing, this home provides a welcoming base for your trip.

Nestled on the eastern slopes of Stainland, Holywell Green has historic roots dating back to the Domesday Book, known then as a modest hamlet within the township of Stainland. Today, it’s a charming, semi-rural village that melds peaceful residential streets with deep local heritage. You’ll find small yet essential conveniences right on your doorstep—like a Nisa Local grocery store and launderette at the crossroads of Stainland Road and Chapel Street, plus a classic fish-and-chip shop nearby. Beyond daily amenities, the area offers lovely green space to explore. Shaw Park, once the garden of Brooklands House, is now a beloved public park featuring a playground, astroturf football pitch, a decorative lake, reed pond, follies, and wooded trails—ideal for leisurely strolls or family outings. For those drawn to local mystery and history, St Helen’s Well is a fascinating landmark. Though the original medieval well may have faded from view, a restored stone trough on Station Road marks its traditional spot. Intriguingly, some local historians suggest the actual spring is closer to Helen Hill Farm on Jagger Green Lane, where a still-flowing spring feeds a Victorian-era cistern.
